Villa Los Colibris is one of those hidden treasures I'm almost reluctant to tell everyone about. Located in the magical town of Todo Santos, and literally off the beaten dirt road path, it truly is for nature lovers looking for tranquility and beauty. It is a vacation rental consisting of 2 houses and 4 casitas offering all the amenities and services of a boutique hotel. All the casitas and casas have magnificent views of the Pacific ocean and a freshwater estuary and palm grove oasis. Looking in the opposite direction is the majestic Sierra de la Laguna mountains. You can watch the early morning ritual of the local fisherman casting their nets and then the green flash of the Baja sunset late afternoon, and the stars at night...my goodness....need I say more. Los Colibris is a 10 minute walk to 70 miles of secluded pristine beach and only a 5 minute drive to the town of Todo Santos where you will find fabulous restauants, artists galleries, markets, and shops.
Beloved Todo Santos chef, Iker Algorri, author of "Cooking Adventures in Baja Califronia Sur", can be found cooking breakfast each morning at Los Colibris and is available by appointment for Mexican cooking classes and dinners. Enjoy a bottle of wine from one of the owner's cousin's winery in the Valle de Guadalupe. Grab a yoga mat and pratice on their yoga platform which happens to be the highest point on the property, yoga with an incredible view!
The owners also have, in my opinion, one of the best tour companies in Baja. They offer daily excurions, surfing, hikes, kayaking, bird watching, horse back riding and much more. They also have long weekend treks into the mountans, and week long family camping trips, consisting of mountain, desert and beach adventures.
